- A representative from Bachmann confirmed that in 2015 the errors on the HO Scale James model will be rectified. However, it took until November of 2017 for the redesigned version to finally receive an updated stock photo.
- The updated version of James started to show up for purchase the following month.
- The Item Number remains the same, as it just replaces the old version.
